I did keto for 2 months, 0 carbs, 2g protein per pound, the rest fats, i also stopped smoking, went running in the morning and did weights in the evening, i got shredded as hell and also build muscle and strength, from a performance perspectiv it was awesome, mentaly especially the beginning was very challenging, especially because i was used to drinking multiple liters of coca cola per day, it was really hard to withstand the sugar and smoking addictions, but the strict diet and all the training helped a lot

Tipp: don't go drinking massive alcohole on your last day of keto, your liver won't like it and your brain is not used to being drunk anymore take it slow 😂

Why don't you get some natural peanut butter and get away from that jiffy🤨 Jiff is like Crisco with peanut butter flavoring. 😆

45 days is not nearly enough to really adapt your body to keto. 3 months is minimum.

2 years ago I was at 260 lbs. I started watching eating healthier, counting calories and going to the gym 3-5 days a week. I lost got down to 230 lbs and have been stuck there since March of 2020. I kept eating right but never lost anymore than that for more than a year. I started keto a month ago and have lost 10 pounds.

I like Keto and intermittent fasting as a regular regime. I've lost 80 lbs in the past 16 months. I do have cheat days. I set weight goals and treat myself for reaching those goals. I try to plan special days like birthdays and weddings into my diet and enjoy them. After I have cheated I go back to the plan. It always helps to make sure a favorite keto food is in the frig for times when the urge to snack is there. I live with 2 non keto people who eat sugar foods regularly. Self control is helped by having good keto leftovers available.

Hang on, keto is not a calorie restricted diet. It's very easy to make it one, as since you've found, it sharply reduces your appetite. But that's down to you, not the diet.

For me personally I found true keto difficult to maintain, and honestly I'm not completely convinced. However after experimenting with my macros a lot I found 20% carbs, 55% fat, 25% protein was ideal. That 20% leaves room for vegetables and fruit. While still relying on meat, eggs, fish, avocado, nuts etc as my main calorie sources.

Haha i have been almost living the keto life my whole life. Although mine is more extreme low carbs besides zero carbs. Cutting out carbs long term just does not sound healthy.

I tried it for 6 weeks too but I couldn't do that much fat. I've always eaten fairly low fat and with hardly any carbs and no sugar I crashed bad. I like to hike and can do many miles with no problems but I went out for a walk and 2 miles in was laying on the side of the path with my head spinning. I couldn't get my legs working and wound up getting back to the car 100ft at a time. It took me several weeks to get some stamina back. If you're going to do keto, you have to do it perfect or it gets dangerous.

What were the side effects? You guys should say side effects more clearly if you addressed it.

The 75percent fat is measured in kcal but fat has more kcal than carbs. So weightwise fifty fifty protein and fat is quite fine for keto.

Peanut butter is what prevented me to going into full blown ketosis, it was too easy to overeat and had 6 grams net carb so when over eating even just a little can shoot you up to 10 grams of carbs with the peanut butter alone
