In this video, Dr. Berg answers the question – “Is exercise really a must for keto (ketogenic diet)?” Diet contributes 85% of the progress with weight loss, and exercise is only 15%. But then, there are benefits of exercise for your weight goal.

    the atrophy thing is true. Thought my cute young butt just got old. Started walking and doing stairs and it's all firmed back up! Only, I didn't know why until I watched this video. Thanks Dr. Berg.

    Hi Dr. Eric so if someone has been on keto for 1 month, can they resume weight lifting training? But don't do HITT trainings?

    I tried weight lifting last week and I gained 7 pounds the next day 🙃 still trying to get it to go away. I walk every other day and my weight was going down steadily 😂

    Hi. You mentioned atrophy. My Mum is 58 years old and a Diabetic. Shes been losing all her musclr in her arm, legs and buttocks for years. Could this be atrophy? Please help as Doctors can't figure out why she is losing it.

    Thanks for the great video and for all your advice! If we hire a personal trainer and we are trying to keep our duration short, should we only do a half hour session with a trainer or would a one hour training session be most beneficial?

    I lost 18 pounds then stalled for 2 weeks in 23 h omad then switched to 2 meals 4 hr window still stalled. Only when I added 30 min on stepper did I start to go down again. I still treat myself 1 day a week to ice cream. But always eat 3 hrs after to level blood sugars to counter the spike drop. Then go back to meat veggies all week. I don't care about calorie counting or keto. I just stay away from sugar, sodas, bread and pasta. I went from 238lbs to 116 pounds in 7 weeks lol. And I eat 7 cups of veggies each day regardless. Mostly kale for liver repair.

    Dr Berg. I started going to fitness and personal trainer added brown toast on breakfast and one banana. Also on lunch 7 spoons of rice with grilled chicken breast with salad. Is adding bread , rice and banana harmful??? Or it’s ok as long as I workout? Note it’s been 6 months I eliminated bread, grains and bananas from my diet and lost my weight. Please advise.

    Dr. Berg can you please shed a light on this. I’m on keto and IF for more than a year. Lost 60+ pounds (thanks for all your advice). I started exercise (cardio and lifting weights) in june. I noticed that I don’t sweat as much as my friends (they’re not on keto or IF). We lift the same weights and do the same cardio. Is it because I’m on keto and they’re burning sugar calories? Am I burning fats? Or is there’s something wrong?

    In the last 6 months I've lost 42 lbs by iliminating cokes and bread and a lot of sugars , and by starting keto. I was 330 lbs and I'm down to 288 as of today. I haven't exercises yet, other than lifting things at my job. Who knows what my results will be when I actually excersise!

    thanks to technology i have incorporated beat saber, boxing and dancing to my gym time while playing my oculus quest! It's a VR workout! Also, Dr. B you're literally the best thing to happen to YouTube. Huge fan here!!

    I lost a ton of weight with just keto and no exercise. Whenever I tried to do exercise while doing keto I felt terrible. Sore, tired, foggy, weak, etc. and the weight loss stalled. Once I stopped doing exercise I felt better again and the fat started to go away again. Listen to your body.

    keto and fasting and callanetics am-pm is the best combination-
