So the question today is can you gain muscle training fasted? What do I mean by fasted well you training with no food or any calories in your body for at least 8 hours. So you have to be thinking it must be impossible to grow. Well you will be very supersized by by answer. I would love to heave what time a day you lift and what you eat before during and after your workouts.

John Meadows is an American professional bodybuilder and entrepreneur with an intriguing story. While John now boasts a successful career as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and fitness company owner, his journey towards the top was extremely difficult.

Growing up, John never met his father, and his mother died at an extremely young age. This meant John only had his grandmother to take care of him. When his grandmother tragically passed away in 1999, John was left alone without his family to support him.

As the years went by, John continued to face new adversities in his life. During his early days in bodybuilding, John suffered from a rare colon disease. After fighting the disease for several months, his colon burst – almost resulting in his death. Luckily, John was quickly rushed to an emergency room where his life was saved. After several months of recovery, John was finally back on his feet.

Coming back into bodybuilding, John used the very obstacles that almost cost him his life as ‘fuel’ to grow stronger. Ever since he recovered from the colon surgery, John has gone on to become a successful bodybuilder, entrepreneur, and inspiration for many people all over the world.

    What about drinking essencial aminoacids with gatorade during training, but not eating before?

    This may or may not help anyone lol. I have to eat before workouts which I dont mind at all. I have hypoglycemia which is the opposite of diabetes. I know there is no anobolic window but ill drinl a whey protein shake after just for the fact i only eat 3 meals a day and the whey protein digest quickly which isnt good for me so ill eat more fiber in my pre workout meal. Hope this helps people in my siruation

    You definitely can! I've had my colon entirely removed due to ulcerative colitis and really lack much of an appetite and getting a full stomach makes me nauseous. So it's really easy for me to drop weight quickly. I have to force myself to eat consistently. A lot of times I won't feel hungry at all before working out and after my exercise I'll finally feel hungry and eat. I'm growing a lot either way

    I've noticed if I'm genuinely fasted then I'll get shaky. So I do drink an electrolyte drink with some taurine that really helps. I never get those shakes and weakness. I feel like I'm gliding along the ground after working out

    Are people being silly? How is it impossible to have quick absorbing carbs, fruit, shake .etc prior , how much time are you saving ? Lol rather than hoping the fasted energy is adequate, everything has a balance , stay away from all or nothing , unless you have some med issues with eating in the mornings ?

    I have to make myself eat breakfast before I train. I like to train in the morning before work. It starts my system, gets blood flowing and I have more energy.

    i dont train while i am fasting i do a 16:8 fast i train in the evening i should try working out while fasting

    Hej! Could you talk specifically about ramadan and if it's possible to gain muscle and what time is best to workout for it, otherwise at least maintain muscle during this period because it will be hard to be in caloric surplus

    I've been Insulin Resistance For About 4yrs Now.. Is That Why I Have A Hard Time Burning Fat Or Growing Muscle? B/c Body Won't Absorb Nutrients or Protein As Much Due To My Insulin Resistance?
