I did a mix of decreasing calories + increasing cardio and ended up hospitalized bc I lost too much weight 😅 but if it done healthily then I think it's WONDERFUL for effectiveness

Exactlyyy like I wish it was that easy to build muscle just from weight lifting. And like you said I have been so upset with myself for not seeing the results I want but here I am not being consistent. Thank you! 🙃

    Restarting my journey. Needed this🥺♥️
Firstly, I wish I knew that sleeping and stress management is important for your fitness journey. Secondly, I wish I had a HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORKING OUT — I had such a negative view of working out ( I was trying to look a certain way, I was trying to lose weight THAT WASNT EVEN THERE 💔😂 😶 ) honestly now I view it as a part of my life that helps me stay healthy. PERIODT, and if I wish to change my fitness goals in the future, to either weightlifting or whatever, I hope to keep this mindset and avoid focusing on looking a certain (that will come anyway). 🙂👍🏽

I've learned that as I continue in my fitness journey, aesthetic goals are not sustainable lmao because society's perception of beauty will always change. I'm not gonna stress myself over that, instead I'll shift to an athletic performance-based mindset, as well as longevity and functionality. Having amazing core stability & balance sounds better than a six-pack anyway hahaha

Hell yes to everything! Tbh there’s still a LOT of stigma against women lifting. While I love incorporating barre and Pilates into my workout routine, a lot of that language is there: “long lean lines/not bulky/feminine physique.” While I’m not going to hate on women that want that, it’s still kinda disheartening to hear

I love how you talked about progress – could be eating cleaner, better form, etc… not physical changes/appearance. Something I need to remember. Thanks for the encouragement, always love following along!

Loved your video! So much information that should be addressed more! … especially in female diet culture.

My biggest issue on my Fitness journey was and still is nutrition, every 2-3 years a new diet and new thing to do … That is confusing, now I'm finally working on consistent food intake that makes me feel good and fuels me for my workouts. That is such a change. Energy, good sleep, better mood and even progress again 💕

I know it may not seem like much, but when you said that we shouldnt expect out weight loss to be faster then the time it took me to gain it, that really hit home, I’ve been so hard on myself with this quarantine weight I gained and you reminded me to be kinder and patient with myself 🤍 Thank you so much 🤍🥺

I started my fitness journey about a month ago. I always saw this girl with the perfect body and I was like “that’s what I want to look like” couple weeks pass and I finally go up to her to find out that she works out 5 times out of the week for the last 5 years!!! I was shocked but then also realized to not compare and go at my own pace

    Loved this! For easy reference:
    1. Health and fitness is science based, not trend based.
    2. It isn't a quick fix, it's a lifestyle change. (Long term VS short term.)
    3. Mental health is the driving force for physical health.
    4. It takes time and consistency, so give yourself that.
    5. Not all calories are created equal.
    6. You are going to mess up – and that's ok.
    7. Weightlifting does not make you bulky.
    8. You can't spot reduce fat.
    9. This is not going to look the same for everybody.
    10. Don't compare.
