    One thing I do to make sure I don’t lose focus when I want to work out or be fit is to have people that inspire me on ig. A good one for instance is @localgymer. he doesn’t let the quality of the gym or equipments deter him.

    I wish I knew this last year…I stopped after 2 months coz I gained more weight 😫😢 ty Kyla🥰
    Anyway I've started working out last week and and I'm taking up a 6 months challenge. Wish me luck🤩☺

    She is so right on the opinions, about 2 years ago I was grinding I was doing awesome I had lost about 15 pounds just from keto I didn’t even really work out excepts for running in the woods with my cousin occasionally, it was about 2 months of progress I was feeling good looking good , I felt amazing I was extremely proud of myself. My grandparents came up (they live a few hours away) and took us to this place I won’t say the name for privacy reasons but they have like a museum and cool stuff as well as a lake, and a lot more. They had a food station thing whatever you want to call it and it had an ice cream part reminder I was 12 almost 13 Still a kid, I had decided I would allow myself to a get a single scoop ice cream cone to treat myself but that would be it, and the only thing I would eat. anything Chocolate I love so this was the best treat, so I ate it but that was it. We went back to my aunts house where we all would like meet at and chill anyways so my mom and aunt were talking about how I had been eating really good and lost weight and how they were proud of me, of course it felt good to see someone positively recognized my hard work.
    Then my grandpa proceeds to go “well if you keep eating ice cream like that then you definitely won’t get any further.” And laughed, I quietly said “that was the first time I’ve had any sugar in months.” But kept my head low and my mouth shut because he had just completed demolished everything I had worked to build, my confidence, motivation, love for myself, I wanted to cry but I just sat they’re and no one even bothered to stick up for me. And I gave up, all because of one comment that ruined everything because it made me feel like absolute shit. And it has stuck with me since, I think hurt so bad because it was coming from someone who I expected to support me or encourage me to be my best healthiest self. I’ve gained a lot of weight since and I’m 15 now, loving myself is something I’ve never been able to really do since. So I’m trying to educate myself on the best way to by my best self, and not just do this to loose weight but to healthy and happy. Do not let anyone ever tear you down or loose your motivation or love for something because of their shitty Opinion. Your beautiful and you can do this, whatever your goal is. You got it.

    For anyone looking: people who are super critical of you practising healthy habits, bringing healthy food, etc, are jealous. They're jealous and insecure, and they make fun because they don't have the discipline to do what you're doing. Keep on keeping on, do what's best for you.

    #11: A quick workout is better than no workout at all ❤️ for when you feel unmotivated or seems to have no energy (but if you really do have no energy, rest!! Rest is equally important 💕), or the day went in a different way that you expected.

    The only thing I can choose myself is the workout type as long as it doesn't require weights, because I have almost no say in what I eat at home

    Please go watch this video, it is so accurate and a really good reminder, but I clicked on this for the tenth time now xD And I want to be able to read this quickly, to remind myself what's really important, and don't lose motivation to soon just because I am discouraged now.

    1. results don't come fast or easy
    2. don't look at the weight on the scale
    3. do not start your journey for the aesthetics
    4. nutrition is key
    5. people are going to have their opinion (don't let them stop you!)
    6. motivation will come and go (a lot!)
    7. pick a workout and a diet that is best for you
    8. you are gonna mess up
    9. do not compare yourself
    10. you need carbs

    I have been slim all my life but have NO strength. For me I dnt care what a model looks like I just want to not be a couch potato anymore 😳 Im so lucky to be naturally slim but it also backfires to where you think you dnt need to work out and then you end up with body aches and lower back pain at 30 for no apparent reason. Just a little pilates here and there has made me feel better and now I really want to weight train but as you said just for health and to make my body stronger. And yes to carbs!! I was a wanna be Paleo for such a long time and it taught me to embrace whole foods and I dnt eat as much processed food overall but the low carb thing was insane and it threw off my hormones over time. I am doing more carbs now and things are balancing out. And I am a Puertorican girl and I totally get the fresh pot of 🍚 rice calling my name. Like roasted chicken and vegetables with the juices over white rice- drool.
